Welcome spring at Music on the Mall -29 October

At the end of this month the Onehunga Business Association is closing Onehunga Mall between Church and Arthur Streets for Music on the Mall (MOTM).

Launched in 2020, MOTM will see two large music areas where you can listen to upbeat performances or relax in a chilled space where you can enjoy food from some of our great hospitality venues.

The upbeat area will include acts from Onehunga High’s cultural groups and then two Auckland bands will perform sets to get your feet tapping.

The dining zone will have inside seating where you can bring your takeaway food from local hospitality venues like Burger Wisconsin, Good Dog, Bad Dog or Almaz Café. Here there will be more relaxed sounds from some other great Auckland musicians.

Also located between the two stages, will be a silent disco. Here you can pop on some headphones and enjoy a curated music soundtrack with entertainer Miss Groove. There are plans for some games and a few dance battles to have some fun with!

Bring your dancing shoes to MOTM as there will be giveaways from some of our local businesses such as Curry Leaf, Slabs and Dress-Smart.

Music on the Mall runs from 4-8pm and is an event the whole whanau can enjoy.

The Onehunga Business Association is also hosting our annual general meeting in October with lunch at Brothers Beer & Juke Joint BBQ. This event is also a farewell to our long-standing chairperson Peter Gibson who is stepping back from his role supporting the local business to concentrate on his own companies.

You can find out more about both events, and register to participate in the Christmas Parade, at our website: www.onehunga.nz.
