Lighting up Onehunga this winter

To celebrate Matariki and winter in Onehunga, the town centre will be hosting Light Up Onehunga this June and July.

Starting on 24 June, the light installations will be activated Friday – Sunday between 6-10pm along Onehunga Mall for your enjoyment. Some weekends there will be further additions to the schedule including a night market at Onehunga Community Centre & Library on 1 July and the Culinary Crawl on 30 July.

The Onehunga Business Association is also encouraging our retailers to light up their shop windows with a competition to win Culinary Crawl tickets!

While you are visiting it should be the perfect opportunity to check out some of Onehunga’s great night-time eateries or have a drink in one of our vibrant bars.

The Onehunga community continues to impress with their support of our businesses. Our April Eftpos figures showed growth from 2021 which is vital for the future of our town centre. Thank you for your continued support while they cope with the impact of Covid on their teams.
