2020 is the year to support your local town centre

What a year. Sometimes it has dragged out but then I am not sure how it is already December!

It has been a rough time for businesses across the world but here in Onehunga we are proud about how our community has rallied together and supported our town centre. Our businesses are mostly owner-operated and love seeing familiar faces and meeting some of the new ones recently.

Please continue to support local in the build-up for Christmas – they are still recovering from lockdowns and this will set them up for 2021. There is a great range of gifts in Onehunga to consider.

Investigate shops you may not have thought of like Dhani’s Boutique or Tamerlane. There are handmade gifts at Little Industry Café or beautiful crockery at Dear Deer Coffee. For the hard to buy people you can get a book from Jitu at Onehunga Books & Stationery or most of our hospitality venues sell gift vouchers – and who does not enjoy a delicious meal out. Not to mention that this has been a stressful year for many so treat them with getting their nails and hair done or book a massage – our local businesses have all this and more.

Enjoy your holidays where we hope you get the chance to enjoy some of New Zealand’s good weather and everyone gets a chance to relax and recover from the stress of 2020.

Mark 27 February in your diary for our next Onehunga Festival down at the Onehunga Bay Reserve – the weather is going to be sizzling!
