Celebrate Summer at the Onehunga Festival

February sees the return of the beloved Onehunga Festival at the Onehunga Bay Reserve, Beachcroft Avenue. A fun day for the family, the festival is fully sponsored meaning that all activities and entertainment are free!

In 2020 the festival amusements are a 10 metre climbing wall, water walkers, bouncy castles, mobile farmyard with pony rides, balloon twisting and face painting. The rangitahi at The 312 Hub will also host piki portraits and tote bag making.

Our high-energy entertainment includes the popular band White Chapel Jak, who take a new twist on your favourite songs, Cook Island drummers and dancers Anuanua, and Onehunga Primary’s kapa haka group. There should be something for you to enjoy across our full entertainment schedule.

This year sees the return of Onehunga Bites, a food village of local flavours in $5 portions. Very popular in 2019, Bites brings a new offering of tasty food this year from Onehunga businesses.

The festival is proudly bought to you by the Onehunga Business Association, The Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board, Panuku Development, Transpower, Mercury, Dress-Smart, Maungakiekie MP Denise Lee, Ray White Epsom’s Suzanne Thomas, The Trusts Community Fund and the Four Wind Foundation.

The event would not be possible without the support of the Onehunga Community Patrol, Jackson Industries, Onehunga Community News, and the Kiwianis.
