Shows: Tuesday – Saturday 8 pm & Sundays 4 pm

When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial dater Casey, a casual drink turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds, the couple quickly find they’re not alone. In an unexpected twist, Casey and Aaron’s inner critics take on a life of their own when other patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents. Can the couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the bill arrives?

The inaugural Onehunga Arts Festival kicks off with superb entertainment from local performers including Onehunga High School’s very own Kapa Haka group, acoustic sets from the youth of The 312 Hub and DJs from Repfm N.Zs number 1 hiphop station.

That’s not all! There’ll be fun activities for the kids and adults alike including moko stencils and arcade games plus a good old fashioned sausage sizzle to warm you up!

Beneath the stars of Matariki, tucked between Maungakiekie and the foot of the Manukau harbour, Nga Atua Hou presents two nights of live projected story telling.  Activating ‘The Story of the People Weaver’ and her cry to Hine Te Iwaiwa, Maori goddess of weaving and fertility who possessed magical superpowers to heal the mighty Manukau.

Onehunga Arts Festival: Mural Art

Be wowed as local mural artists, Bobby MacDonald and Karlee Hirovaana-Nicholls transform the old “Tumeke” wall with a live mural art piece remembering Elizabeth Yates, the first female mayor of Onehunga borough and the first female mayor in the British empire.

Watch this mural unfold throughout the Onehunga Arts Festival.
