From 26 December 2022, the Onehunga train line will be closed for maintenance and there will be rail replacement buses over the holiday period. Rail replacement bus timetables for 26 December 2022 until 15 January 2023 can be downloaded from www.AT.govt.nz/RailClosures.
Foundation work will be undertaken between 16 January – 19 March 2023. The impacts of this will be:From 16 January until 19 March 2023, Onehunga Station will be served by two Rail Replacement buses: one towards Otahuhu and an express bus to Newmarket.
From 2 January, customers will be able to use AT’s Journey Planner and AT Mobile app to plan their travel using the new Rail Replacement bus services. In the meantime, timetables for AT’s regular bus services (including the 30, 209 and 309) can be downloaded from www.AT.govt.nz/Timetables Timetables for the Rail Replacement bus services can be downloaded from www.AT.govt.nz/RailRebuild. Customers can also phone AT’s Contact Centre on 09 366 6400.
The best way for customers to stay informed about public transport changes during the Rail Network Rebuild is to download the AT Mobile app and subscribe to alerts for their train. Customers will receive an app notification when their train is affected. The notification will tell them where to find information about their alternative travel options.
